Board Structure Sync – Support & How to Use
Getting started
Prerequisites: You need edit permissions on the board you want to update and read access to the source board. Viewers and some guests cannot make changes; the App will show you a message if this applies to you.
- Install Board Structure Sync from the monday.com marketplace.
- Open the board you want to update. Click + next to the views, choose Apps, then select Board Structure Sync.
- Choose a source board.
- Review the preview: it lists the columns, status labels, groups and views that are missing from the current board, plus anything that cannot be copied.
- Click Apply. Only the missing items are added. Nothing is deleted or renamed.

Thanks for reaching out. You're right that automations aren't copied. monday.com doesn't currently provide an API for creating or copying automations, so no app can do this today. You'll need to recreate them on the target board through the Automations Center. Everything else in the preview (columns, labels, groups and supported views) is copied as shown.
If monday.com adds automation support to its API, I'll look into adding it.

2. A view (for example Kanban or Gantt) is missing

Thanks for your message. Board Structure Sync can only create the view types that monday.com allows through its API: Table, Form, Dashboard and App views. Kanban, Gantt, Timeline, Calendar and other view types can't be created through the API, so the preview marks them as not supported and skips them. You can add them manually from the "+" menu on the board.

3. Changes did not apply / permission error

Sorry about the trouble. This usually happens for one of these reasons: 1. Your account has viewer or limited guest access to the current board, so changes can't be made. 2. You don't have access to the source board. 3. The item already exists on the current board, even if its settings are different. The App doesn't change or rename existing items.
Could you send me the board ID and a screenshot of the preview? Then I can look into it. Please note that the App never deletes anything, so your existing board structure hasn't been affected.
